My name is Debbie Horovitch. I am an ad agency media manager (planner & buyer) who became addicted to using social media for life & career advancement, while working at a media buying agency that restricted Facebook access to all employees.

Now, I wear multiple hats and have many titles but it all boils down to this:
Social media can help make your career or business dreams true. If you endeavor to always test, learn by trial & error, and forgive yourself along with those around you for making mistakes, you can rediscover your passion, bouyed by a community of people just like you.

I work as a consultant for media channels and ad agencies on how they can offer their clients the effective community and social media campaigns they're demanding, in a way that is beneficial for everyone involved. I also work with small businesses, entrepreneurs and associations on developing their personal marketing & branding strategy, social media campaigns and internet marketing. I am also a teacher of social media marketing (at University of Toronto) and public speaker.

One question I ask everyone - what charity/cause does your business's community support and in what way?

My social media profiles have empowered me to connect and strengthen my relationships with so many people who I've met throughout my life, including my childhood BFF. I'm also amazed daily by the awesome people social media has allowed me to meet and develop real-life, real-world effective partnerships & relationships with.

I feel so lucky, but also want to continuously move forward again & again; advancing in leaps and bounds with my friends & coworkers!
